Marissa, a native of Maryland's eastern shore, grew up surrounded by a wealth of hand-harvested produce, freshly caught seafood, and fowl. This early exposure ignited her lifelong passion for food and wine. After completing her college and culinary school education, Marissa honed her skills in the fine-dining kitchens of New York City, including prestigious establishments like Aquavit and Annisa. It was during this time that she discovered how the art of wine could elevate exceptional culinary creations.
Transitioning to the front of the house, Marissa delved into the world of wine further through management roles at various country clubs and restaurants in Baltimore, where she curated exquisite wine lists. In 2009, she embarked on a new chapter in Napa Valley, joining Chappellet on Pritchard Hill in a direct-to-consumer sales role.
As a sommelier, Marissa found her true calling in hospitality, combining her innate sales skills, exceptional operational acumen, and deep-rooted love for wine. She continued her journey in the Napa Valley, working with esteemed small luxury wineries, including hope & grace wines, Kelly Fleming Wines, and ADAMVS.
With extensive experience spanning technology, brand management, operations, hospitality, and sales, Marissa remains dedicated to helping small wineries thrive and expand thoughtfully. Today, she resides in Yountville, California, with her family.
